As part of the prisoners' rehabilitation programme in Botswana, prisoners produce bricks and blocks for purchase by the general public.
All members of the general public are eligible to purchase bricks and blocks from the Botswana Prison Service.
- Citizens can purchase bricks and blocks in person from the Botswana Prison Service. There are no forms required.
- Customers pay and collect bricks when stock is available.
- Transport cost is charged at P2.75 per kilometer on tarred road and P4.45 per kilometer on gravel.
No supporting documents are required for this service.
There is no definite waiting period. Customers pay and collect when the stock is available.
The cost of bricks depends on the amount and location from which the bricks are purchased. The current pricing chart is below.
