Overview
The service allows legal arms dealers and individuals to import ammunition into Botswana. Note that for individual firearm owners, the quota of 100 rounds of ammunition per year applies.
Who is eligible?
- Any person who is a legally registered firearm owner
- Any legally registered arms dealer
How do I get this service?
- Download and complete application for permit to import ammunition.
- Application forms are also available at all Police Stations across the country.
What supporting documents are required?
- Valid National Identification document (Omang)
- Non-citizens must present a valid passport and residence permit
- Tender the original certificate of firearm before Licensing Officer
- Arms Dealers should tender a valid Arms Dealer's License
