The license allows for lawful sale of explosives in Botswana.
Citizens and Non-Citizens.
In order to access this service, applicants must follow the steps below;
- Complete Permit to Purchase, Acquire and Possess Explosives form or Permit to Import and Possess Explosives form.
- Submit copies of company certificate of incorporation and trading licences including share certificate from the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA).
- A letter of appointment is required for the responsible person who should be a blasting licence holder.
- A certified copy of a valid national identity card (Omang) for the responsible person or holder.
- Arrange storage facility in accordance with the requirement of Explosives Act Cap 24:02.
- Arrange transportation of explosives according to Explosives Act Cap 24:02.
- Permit to Purchase, Acquire and Possess Explosives form.
- Permit to Import and Possess Explosives form.
- Copies of company certificate of incorporation.
- Trading licences.
- Share certificate from the CIPA.
- A letter of appointment indicating responsible blasting license holder (BLH).
- A certified copy of a valid national identity for the responsible BLH or holder.
Five (5) working days.
There is an annual licence fee charged at BWP 2.00.
